  3. Please replace version 1.0 of Coloring Book presently in the Game directory
  4. with this revised version. The only difference between the two is that this
  5. one (version 1.0.1) fixes a bug which caused version 1.0 to hang on Macs
  6. with 9” B&W screens. Since the program is not ment to run on these Macs
  7. anyway there is no need to download if you already have the program and
  8. are using it on an 13” 8 bit system. The bug fix is to prevent problems for
  9. compact Mac users who might experience trouble if they try to run the
  10. program anyway.

  27. THE PROGRAM
  28.  
  29. Coloring Book is a full screen electronic coloring book for children of all
  30. ages.  The user clicks on a palette of colors to select a color and then clicks
  31. inside the shapes to be colored. A random selection from a variety y of
  32. amusing sounds is played every time the color is changed. Interspersed
  33. throughout the coloring book pages are simple animations such as a fish
  34. that blows bubbles, a pop-up jack-in-the-box, a space ship that fires beams
  35. of energy, and others.  There are 16 pages to be colored including
  36. such things as a birthday cake, cars, flowers, space things, snow man, fish,
  37. and many others; there is even a set of mosaic tiles which can be used to
  38. create an original picture or design of a child’s own imagining. Coloring
  39. Book was designed to be FUN for young children to use. No menus are
  40. used. Pages are turned by clicking on large forward and back arrow
  41. buttons.  This is a great eye-hand coordination developer.  My just-
  42. turned-three-year-old sits by himself for 45 mins at a time playing with the
  43. program. It’s been kid-tested with children up to 7 years of age. They all
  44. seem to enjoy it!

  46. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  48. Coloring Book will run on system 6.07 or better. It has been tested on
  49. system 7.1. Coloring Book requires a 256 color monitor of 13” or larger.
  50. Coloring Book needs 1600 K of RAM to run.  Problems will  be encountered
  51. if insufficient RAM is available. Coloring Book is a large program over 900K
  52. in size when uncompressed.  If there is enough interest I will modify the
  53. program to run on 12”RGB monitors.
